MAISCO – Originator of the Dual Span Corner, Formerly Known as TAG
The Dual Span Corner, formerly known as TAG, provides the best field coverage in the industry. The system’s advanced technology enables the Dual Span Corner to provide superior field coverage in comparison to other irrigation options.
Simplicity of design and ease of service are the basis for MAISCO’s innovative Dual Span Corner, formerly known as TAG, design. Software and modern embedded controllers are used for compensating run time differentials between the last regular drive unit (LRDU) and guidance tower, sprinkler sequencing and guidance of the Dual Span Corner arm around the field.
Uniform water application and maximum field coverage is the hallmark of the Dual Span Corner. Sprinkler sequencing is monitored by MAISCO’s sequencer which computes and optimizes the specific area that each series of sprinklers needs to cover. The linear movement of the freestanding span also extends the coverage needed on all sides of the field, making a smooth linear motion around the field in lieu of a sweeping or swinging motion. This ensures the end gun remains in the same position around the entire field.
Using 180’ or 205’ connecting span connects the corner linear span to the last regular drive unit of the main center pivot. This allows the corner linear span to extend and retract to cover additional acres in field corners or rectangular fields.
