Reliability: Simplicity of design and ease of service are the basis for the TAG design. Software and modern embedded controllers are used for compensating run time differentials between the last regular drive unit (LRDU) and guidance tower, sprinkler sequencing and guidance of TAG Arm around the field.

Uniform Water Application:  Sprinkler sequencing is monitored by our patent pending sequencer which computes and optimizes the specific area that each series of sprinklers needs to cover. The linear movement of the freestanding span also optimizes the coverage needed on all sides of the field, making a smooth linear motion around the field in lieu of a sweeping or swinging motion. This also keeps the end gun in the same position around the entire field.

Irrigates the Whole Field: THE LONGEST CORNER ARM in the industry, without surprise, irrigates more of the field than any other center pivot irrigation method in use today, and the state of the art guidance and patent pending sprinkler controls enable the TAG to irrigate more acres than any other corner arm available today, uniformity of water application is superior to any other product in today’s market. The TAG irrigates so much of the corners that you could take the end gun off and still water more of the field than other steerable corners irrigate. When we say the WHOLE FIELD that is what we mean!

Uneven Terrain: Because of the simplicity of design the TAG Corner Arm uses common structural parts that are used in the mainline of all pivots enabling the TAG Corner Arm to navigate terrains that are equal to what the main pivot run on.

Field Layout and Guidance: MAISCO and Hoosier controls are using GPS enabled technology and Auto Cad to design each field for optimum field layout. Giving each individual field it’s own specific field design assures that you are getting the most use of your investment and staying within the engineer’s watering and guidance parameters, allowing the irrigation of the most acres in your field for lifetime dependability. Wire guidance is laid out in each field using the field maps and GPS to flag each field for the wire path the TAG will follow. MAISCO has invested heavily in education and GPS and AutoCad equipment to create the best design possible and cutting edge technology that you will only find at MAISCO.

Electronic Diagnostics:  Easy to use interfaces with PDA’s indicate the reason and time of shut downs and also log all error codes that occur in operation. This diagnosis can be done while standing on the ground in lieu of climbing to dangerous heights to do simple troubleshooting procedures. Your older service techs and farmhands will love you for this feature and you will benefit from the shorter service calls.

Revolution Times:   The ability to use high speed drives and TAG’s software that compensates for speed differentials between the LRDU and the Guidance tower are at the heart of not only faster but much smoother operation than any other corner arm that uses the start and stop of these towers to go around the field. It is not always how fast you go that counts.  It is how quick you get there! TAG engineers have specifically decided to not use the continuous move that other manufacturers have implemented in their designs, because the TAG software makes a smooth, quick and consistent movement around the entire field. The fast movement of the system was not our main objective; smooth and consistent movement around the entire field is what gives us fast run time and uniform water application.
